PURPOSE:To easily identify a caller before reply to an incoming call by displaying at least character information attached to a telephone number onto a display section when the incoming call from a telephone set with the telephone number allocated thereto. CONSTITUTION:Some telephone numbers and names of possessors of telephone sets with the telephone number allocated thereto are registered in a RAM 123 backed up by a battery by means of a key pad 121 by the user. The retrieval as to whether or not a telephone number assigned to a telephone set possessed by a caller included in a control signal inputted to a control circuit 124 is registered in the RAM 123 is implemented by the control circuit 124 through the access to the RAM 123. When the telephone number coincident with the registered telephone number is registered in the RAN 123 as the result of the retrieval, a name attended with the telephone number is displayed on a display unit 122. |
