PURPOSE:To facilitate discharge of variously folded, sheets of paper by leading a series of the former-folded paper into nearly the center of a folding drum while a series of the not former-folded sheets of paper into the folding drum with its length corresponding to that of the drum. CONSTITUTION:In case of a series of paper 11 being folded by two, semi-width, the paper is conveyed to nearly the lengthwise center of the cutting drum 31 and folding drum 32 as a series of paper 12 folded by two, semi-width through the former 51 and the twin leading rollers 22, and further to be discharged as the paper 14 folded by four from a conveyor 41 through the interlocking drum 33. When it is folded by a chopper 44, it becomes the paper 15 folded by half. A series of paper 11 is possible to be turned in direction by a turn-bar 26 to be conveyed in accordance with the length of the cutting drum 31 and folding drum 32 through the nip-roller 23. A half wide paper 13 can be produced by using a slitter 53 to be discharged as the folded paper 16 from the conveyor 41. The paper 17 folded by two is formed not by using the slitter 53, but by using a chopper 44. |
