<p>An apparatus and method for making expresso coffee automatically. The apparatus comprises a microprocessor, a coffee bean hopper and a coffee grinder associated with the hopper. A brewer assembly which receives a charge of ground coffee, packs it and retains it in compression. A hot water injector injects hot water into the coffee, extracts the brewed liquid, delivers it to a drinking cup, and ejects the waste coffee grounds. A steam operated air-milk venturi-mixer draws milk, air and steam and whips the milk into a heated froth which is delivered to the drinking cups. The apparatus further includes a refrigerated milk supply, a water heater for supplying hot water and a steam generator.</p> |
