PURPOSE:To enable both of improvement of wet water drainage performance and reduction of pattern noise while ensuring the driving stability against a dry road surface by making the opening of each inclined groove in the tire peripheral direction to the peripheral groove have a specified multiplied range of length at the grounding end position. CONSTITUTION:Two linear peripheral main grooves 2 are arranged at the center part of a tread 1 and one peripheral groove 4 is arranged in each side end part 3. A plurality of inclined grooves 5 extending slantly crossing each peripheral groove 4 are arranged. The grooves 5 are inclined at its lower end in a front view in the case of setting a tire to a vehicle in the direction to access the center of tread, and are opened in its inclined groove part 5a on the cetral side of terad at the bent part of the zigzaged groove edges 4a of the peripheral grooves 4. In this case the length Wo of inclined groove part 5b positioned at the tread end side more than the peripheral groove 14 of each inclined groove 5 in the peripheral direction of tire, at its opening to the periph eral groove 4 is set in a range 1.5 - 3.0 times of the similar length W1 at the grounding end of the groove part 5b. |
