PURPOSE:To eliminate the wasteful consumption of power by automatically stopping power supply for reception units when a broadcasting signal is not inputted and automatically resuming power supply for them when the broadcasting signal is inputted. CONSTITUTION:When there is an RF signal in a down signal branched by a branching unit 3, an RF detection DC switch 7 is turned on and power is supplied from a DC power source E to a down reception unit 5. When there is no RF signal, the switch 7 is turned off and power supply from the DC power source E to the down reception unit 5 is stopped. When there is the RF signal in an up signal branched by a branching unit 4, an RF detection DC switch 8 is turned on and power is supplied from the DC power source E to an up reception unit 6. When there is no RF signal, the switch 8 is turned off and power supply from the DC power source E to the up reception unit 6 is stopped. Thus, the wasteful supply of power is eliminated and the cost of a CATV system can be reduced. |
