PURPOSE:To prevent bubbles from being introduced into ink by oppositely securing a pair of elastic members through which an ink stylus communicating with an ink jet head can be passed at a predetermined gap in a holder connected to an ink storage container, and forming the gap in a reduced pressure chamber. CONSTITUTION:If an ink cartridge is replaced with new one, when an old cartridge is separated from a stylus 9, a recess (b) is formed at ink of the end of the stylus. However, when the stylus 9 is pierced to elastic members 4 and the end of the stylus 9 reach a reduced pressure chamber 5, ink is absorbed from an ink supply tube 8 by a pressure difference in the chamber 5, and ink is oozed from the end of the stylus 9. Thus, the recess (b) filled ink is eliminated at the end of the stylus 9. Then, the tube 9 is further pierced to the member 3 to reach an ink guide tube 2. Thus, bubbles are not introduced into the interior, thereby obviating purging prior to a printing operation. |
