CONVERTER CIRCUIT AND PROCESS FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

A converter circuit is disclosed for feeding an inductive charge, as well as a process for controlling the converter. The object of the invention is to obtain a circuit and a process for controlling its operation which stress to a particularly low degree the controllable switches of the circuit and which lead to small switching losses. For that purpose, a resonance converter is used having a resonant circuit with a saturable inductor, thus allowing diodes connected in antiparallel to the controllable switches to regenerate backwards. This converter is particularly useful in high power applications in the kilowatt range.
