A plate (20) capable of being grasped simultaneously along with a beverage container (24) using just one hand. Attached to the bottom surface of the food bearing member of the plate (30) is a member or members (22) which, when deployed, enable the user to place the plate (20) over a beverage container (24) and grasp both the beverage container (24) and the plate member (20) with one hand, thus freeing the other hand for other tasks, such as manipulating the food or greeting. |
