PURPOSE:To obtain the subject treating agent for scalp and hair effective in suppressing and eliminating disagreeable smell of sulfur compound by using perilla extract containing a flavonoid substance as an active component. CONSTITUTION:The objective agent contains 0.1-0.5% of an extract obtained from the seed, stalk and leaf of a plant of family Perilla or its relative and containing a flavonoid substance as an active component effective in eliminating the smell of sulfur compounds. The agent is properly compounded with conventional components such as surfactant, humectant, lower alcohol, thickener, perfumery, antioxidant, chelating agent, colorant and disinfectant. It is especially effective as an additive for hair shampoo, hair rinse, hair tonic, hair liquid, hair cream, etc. It can be utilized as various deodorants for, e. g. waste water treatment, processing of foods, processing of fish and shell fish, animal faces, chemicals or domestic use. |
