<p>PURPOSE:To improve the quality of warp of a batten product by a method wherein an apparent warp in a widthwise direction (C warp) of the batten is measured at two or more points, and at least one of a true warp in a longitudinal direction (L warp) and a true C warp of the batten is calculated on the basis of the measuring result. CONSTITUTION:Supposing that an apparent C warp is C*, a true C warp is C, and a true L warp is L, the relation C*=C+alphaL is held wherein alpha is a contrib uting coefficient of the L warp to the apparent C warp. Since the relations C*1=C+alpha1L, C*2=C+alpha2L are held for different points 1, 2, L=(C*1-C*2)/(alpha1-alpha2), C=(alpha1C*2-alpha2C*1)/(alpha1-alpha2) are obtained by solving the above relations. Therefore, if the apparent C warps C*1, C*2 at two points where alpha1not equal to alpha2 are measured, the true L and C warps can be obtained. alpha1, alpha2 are measured beforehand. In other words, based on the apparent C warp measured by No. 1 and No. 2 warp measuring instruments 7, 8, the true L warp and C warp are calculated by a computer 9 from the above formulae, and displayed at 10.</p> |
