PURPOSE:To perform knocking control with a slight error operation and without affecting responsiveness at the time of knocking generation by correcting a delay-angle amount while utilizing two kinds of backgrounds whose difference is enlarged at the knocking generation. CONSTITUTION:A computer 105 reads an A/D value of an A/D converter 104 under a timing that an output VP of a peak hold circuit 103 is stable. In the computer 105, two kinds of backgrounds are computed for controlling an ignition timing. The first background, changed according to the A/D conversion value VP, is small when a noise alone is generated, and increased when a knocking occurs. The second background, changes similarly to the first background when the A/D conversion value of this time is small. However, when it is large, the second background changes in a different form from that of the first background. When knocking occurs, a difference between the first and the second is reflected to a delay-angle rate, so that the generation of knocking is prevented. |
