PURPOSE:To stabilize secondary recrystallization and to improve magnetic properties and film characteristics by subjecting a slab of a silicon steel in which respective contents of C, Si, Al, Mn, etc., to decarburization in the course between the completion of decarburization and the initiation of the final cold rolling, and then to decarburizing annealing under the prescribed conditions. CONSTITUTION:A silicon steel having a composition containing, by weight, 0.04-0.08% C, 2-4% Si, 0.01-0.04% SolAl, 0.004-0.012% N, 0.03-0.12% Mn, 0.01-0.05% Se, and 0.01-0.2% Sb is refined. A slab of this silicon steel is hot- rolled, and then, 0.005-0.03% C is decarburized from the steel sheet surface in the course between the completion of hot rolling and the initiation of the final cold rolling. Subsequently, decarburizing annealing is carried out at 850-950 deg.C in an atmosphere in which P(H2O)/P(H2) is regulated to 0.1-0.3. Then, after a separation agent at annealing is applied to the steel sheet surface, secondary recrystallization annealing and purification annealing are performed. |
