PURPOSE:To prevent dripping drain water from flowing out from the middle part of a condenser by providing splash preventive plates on the side faces of the condenser. CONSTITUTION:When a compressor 18 is operated by an operating panel 17, an evaporator fan 6 and a condenser fan 14 are brought in operation so that condensate is produced on the surface of fins of an evaporator 12, causing a room to be cooled. The drain water 7 produced flows down quickly into a drain pan 3 because the fins of the evaporator are arranged vertically. Two or more drain ports 19 are provided at the deepest part of the drain pan 3, and the drain water uniformly drops over a condenser 13 through the drain ports 19. As the plate fins of the condenser 13 are bent upward, the drain water does not overflow nor splash. As the plate fins of the condenser 13 are of slit type, the dripping drain water can be distributed throughout the inside of the condenser 13. Moreover, splash preventive plates 10 provided on both side faces of the condenser 13 prevent the drain water from flowing out from the middle part. Therefore, the drain water 7 is evaporated by the heat of the condenser 13 and discharged outside the air-conditioner main body by the condenser fan 14. |
