PURPOSE:To achieve transmission of electrons better between protein and an electrode through a mediator by staying a mediator chemically bonded to a microscopic magnetic particle near the electrode a magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:Potential of a working electrode 10 is determined by a potentiostat 16 with a reference electrode 13 as reference. Electrons are given to and taken from the mediator 3 from the electrode 10, a reaction here is observed as current flowing through a counter electrode 11 from the electrode 10 to be stored into a recorder 17. A nitrogen gas is blown into a solution 9 to remove dissolved oxygen by bubbling. Then, when the mediator 3 is put into a phophoric acid buffer, it 3 is attracted by a magnetic field to gather near the pole. Then, glucose oxidase (GOD) is put into the solution to fix a working electrode 2. Then, when glucose cleared of enzyme dissolved is added, an oxidation current flows. Thus, the use of the mediator 3 confined near the electrode by the magnetic field enables transmission of electrons of protein efficiently to the electrode 2. |
