An air conditioner comprises a control data storing unit in which control data is stored, a buffering unit in which update data for the control data is stored, a rewriting unit, a data receiving unit, and a reception processing unit. The rewriting unit executes a rewrite process to rewrite the control data stored in the control data storing unit with the update data stored in the buffering unit. The data receiving unit receives the update data that is transmitted a plurality of times from a transmitting unit via wireless communication. When the update data is received, the reception processing unit determines whether the rewrite process is currently executing, and if the rewrite process is currently executing, then the received update data is discarded, and if the rewrite process is not currently executing, the update data is stored in the buffering unit. |
