摘要 PURPOSE:To secure a high degree of safety at a time when a car is stopped at a slope in keeping a neutral range selected intact by making up a transmission output shaft into an interlocked state with plural units of friction elements clamped with one another at time of selecting the neutral range. CONSTITUTION:When a neutral range is selected, a valve spool 31d of a manual valve 31 is situated in a position as shown in illustration, while a line pressure hydraulic fluid flowing in from a line pressure port 31b is fed to an interlock oil passage 32 by way of an interlock port 31c, thereby clamping a band brake 4 and a low and reverse brake 19 tight. Thus, with the bank brake 4 and the low and reverse brake 19 clamped, an output shaft being directly connected to a rear propeller shaft is made into an interlocked state by means of case clamping. Accordingly, when a car is stopped in keeping the neutral range selected intact at a slope, such a fear that the car is moving on the slope due to its gravity is preventable even in a state of unsetting a side brake or foot brake, or in a state of loosely setting them otherwise.
