PURPOSE:To obtain the lightweight synthetic resin structural material, which is excellent in heat resistance and has large strength, by the method wherein fiber-containing uncured thermosetting resin, which is brought into contact with at least one side of foam, which is made of thermoplastic polyester-based resin, is used. CONSTITUTION:Fiber-containing uncured thermosetting resin is brought into contact with at least one side of thermoplastic polyester resin (PAT) foam so as to be cured. Employed PAT is polymeric chain polyester, which is made of aromatic dicarboxylic acid and dihydric alcohol. As the aromatic dicarboxylic acid, isophthalatic acid or the like in addition to terephthalic acid is employed. As the dihydric alcohol, trimethylene glycol or the like in addition to ethylene glycol is employed. As the thermosetting resin, powdered or liquefied unsaturated polyester resin, epoxy resin or the like is exampled. As the fiber for reinforcing the thermosetting resin, glass fiber, carbon fiber or the like is used. |
