Milbemycin ether derivs. of formula (I), and their salts and esters, are new. R1 is 4-8C cycloalkyl, R (substd. by 3-8C cycloalkyl which is itself opt. subtd. by Q) or a gp. of formula (i): R2 is e.g H, halo, CN, NO2, R (opt. substd. by Q') RO, 2-6C alkoxyalkyl, TH, TCOR4, TCOCOR4, TCHR6NHCOR6 etc.; T is (CH2)nNR9 (bonded to the ring via C); n is 0, 1 or 2; m is 1 or 2; each R6 is e.g, H, A (opt. substd. by Q''), 2-8C aliphatic hydrocarbyl (contg. one or two double or triple bonds), 3-8C cycloalkyl (opt. subtd. by Q), or 6-14C aryl, or NR6R6 is a 3-7 membered heterocycle (opt. contg. 1 other O, S or N heteroatom); or NR6NR6 is a 3-7 membered heterocycle (opt. contg. 1 other O, S or N hetroatoms, R is R, 3-7C cycloalkyl, or R(substd. by 1-3 6-10C aryl which ar themselves opt. substd. by Q); R9 is H or R; R is 1-4 alkyl; A is 1-8C alkyl; V is CH2, CH2CH2 or OCH2; R5 is Me, Et, iPr or sec-Bu; X is OH, 1-5C alkenoyloxy (opt. substd. by Q''') or hydroxyimino; Q is e.g, halo, RO, R, RS, 1-5C alkanoyloxy, ROCO, CN, NO2, NHR, N(R)2, CONH2 etc.; Q is halo, RO, RS or 1-5C alkaneyloxy; Q'' is e.g, 3-8C cycloalkyl, RO, RS, 2-5C cyanoalkylthio, ROCO, halo, CN, NO2, NH2 etc.; Q''' is halo, RO, ROCO or COOH. |
