<p>PURPOSE:To open and close a paper carrying passage automatically to improve the jam processing workability by providing an energizing means for opening one guide surface and a driving means for maintaining the guide surface with a predetermined space and for locking and cancelling the lock. CONSTITUTION:A right door frame member 1 having a guide surface facing to guide plates 3a, 3b of the main frame side with a predetermined space is energized by a spring coil 7 so as to be opened around of a rotation axis 6, and a locking bar 13 provided in the tip of a connecting rod 14 link-connected to a solenoid 18 is engaged with a hook part 11 to be locked. At the time of generation of a jam, when the solenoid 18 is driven to cancel the locked condition, the right door frame member 1 is opened with the work of the spring coil 7, and a sufficient space for processing a jam can be secured automatically. Discovery of jammed paper is facilitated and the jam processing workability is improved by detecting a jam generated part and opening a carrying passage corresponding to that part.</p> |
