PURPOSE:To provide high magnetic properties when an aluminum-stabilized superconductive wire is used for a magnet conductor by giving specific properties to the Al stabilizer of the Al-stabilized superconducting wire. CONSTITUTION:Since an Al alloy having 3Kg/mm<2> or more of 0.2% yield strength at extremely low temperature is used for an Al stabilizer, an Al- stabilized superconductive wire is able to be substituted for a conventional highly pure Cu from the standpoint of strength as a magnet conductor, and further residual specific resistance, which shows thermal and electrical stability of the superconducting wire, is 700 and or more remarkably higher than that, 120, of highly pure Cu and electric resistance at extremely low temperature is less than or equal to 1/3 of that of the highly pure Cu, so that electric stability of the wire during the use, is improved. Moreover, the surface area of the cross section of the stabilizer may be made small by the reduced amount of since electric resistance, and as a result, when the wire is used for a magnet, the magnet is able to be made small and lightweighted. |
