A liquid dispensing means for a container (1) comprises a closure (4) fitted to the container (1) and adapted to allow the passage of liquid therethrough when the internal pressure in the container exceeds ambient pressure and incorporating a closing member (14) movable between an open and a closed position in which positions liquid flow is respectively permitted or prevented and an overcap (23) operatively engaged with closing member (14) and removable therefrom only when the closing member (14) is in the closed position. This overcap is transparent so that the dispensed dose of liquid in it can be seen. A method of introducing liquid detergent into a washing machine using the dispensing means. |
