PURPOSE:To facilitate a job for burnishing and assembly by forming each pressing surface into a concave, installing a holding member, holding a metallic gasket on a piece, and installing its position regulating part, in a union joint which interposes the metallic gasket between two-piece pressing surfaces and clamps it tight. CONSTITUTION:A metallic gasket 30 is interposed between a pressing surface 10 formed in a piece 10 on one side and another pressing surface 25 formed in a piece 20 on the other, and both these pieces 10 and 20 are clamped in the axial direction, whereby the gasket 30 is pressed tight, securing a union joint connecting these pieces 10, 20 in seal. These pressing surfaces 15, 25 are formed into a concave corresponding to an external form of this cross section C-shaped metallic gasket 30, while an insertholding part 42 of a holding member 40 is inserted into an opening 31 of the gasket 30 and held by the pieces 10, 20, and there is provided a position regulating part 46 for an amount of crushing deformation in the metallic gasket 30. In consequence, the facilitation of burnishing and disassembly/reassembly is thus promoted.
