PURPOSE:To make long-term reliability excellent and to stably increase the reproducible number of times to a large extent by forming the title medium by laminating an SbSe layer and BiTe layer to a substrate and adding one element selected from Ge, Mn, Cu, Ag and Zn to the SbSe layer in specific atomic %. CONSTITUTION:An optical recording medium is formed by a method wherein an SbSe layer 2, a BiTe layer 3, a light transmitting layer 4 composed of Sb2Se3, a reflecting layer 5 composed of an Al-Ti alloy and a protective layer 6 are successively laminated to a substrate 1. Film thickness is 300Angstrom in the SbSe layer, 150Angstrom in the BiTe layer 3, 1300Angstrom in the light transmitting layer 4 and 1000Angstrom in the reflecting layer 5. The SbSe layer 2 and the light transmitting layer 4 are formed by RF sputtering and the BiTe layer 3 and the reflecting layer 5 are formed by DC sputtering. |
