C-1490 TITLE OF THE INVENTION "NOVEL ALKYLBENZOTRIAZOLE COMPOSITIONS AND THE USE THEREOF AS COPPER AND COPPER ALLOY CORROSION INHIBITORS" An alkylbenzotriazole, in combination with mercaptobenzotriazole, tolyltriazole, benzotriazole and/or 1-phenyl-5-mercaptotetrazole, is used to inhibit the corrosion of metallic surfaces, particularly copper surfaces, in contact with an aqueous system. Systems and compositions are also claimed.
