Microporous sheet obtained by a wet route, capable of being shaped when heated. It consists of: - at least natural fibres, - at least synthetic fibres which provide, on the one hand, the self-sealability of the sheet when heated and, on the other hand, the behaviour of the thermoformed sheet in the dry state as in the wet state, - optionally adhesive bonding agents. The synthetic fibres consist of a mixture of at least two kinds of fibres which have different melting points so that fibres of one kind soften sufficiently at the shaping temperature of the sheet to allow it to be sealed and so that the fibres of the other kind remain stable at this temperature. Application to packaging fruit.
