A parenterally injectable slow-release composition consisting of solid sized microspheres (5-300 mu m) which include a pharmaceutically active substance (such as morphine) contained in spherical structures made of one or more pharmacologically inactive support substances (such as cholesterol) which occur naturally in the recipient organism, are pharmacodynamically inactive at the administered doses of the galenical, have a melting point above 60 DEG C, and are stable in a solid state in the recipient physiological medium. The galenical can slow down and prolong the effect of active substances which dissolve too quickly in physiological media (acting on the central nervous system or the autonomic nervous system as vasodilators, antihistaminics, hormones, contraceptives, etc.)
