The invention relates to various devices permitting assembly of the seat with freedom to select materials of different kinds. The decorative aspect can also be taken into consideration. The leg-base assembly 4, 6 is assembled to the beam 3 using an intermediate member fastened by screws 1. At the ends of the beam, decorative caps 7 are fitted inside the beam. The seats 8 are fastened to the beam 3 by means of rings 2 and screws 1.
