<p>PURPOSE:To survey an underground state continuously by sampling an electromagnetic wave while running a transmitting antenna TA and a receiving antenna RA alternately like a spanworm. CONSTITUTION:When the RA 2 is run as shown by an arrow, a coupling part 5 slides and the TR1 still stops, so no tranmission is carried out. Then the running distance is detected from the rotating of wheels 10 accompanying the travel of the RA2 and a sensor 11 outputs a control signal at constant-distance intervals to control the transmission of an electromagnetic wave from the TA1 and the reception by the RA2. Then the electromagnetic wave which is reflected by an underground border surface (a) and buried bodies (b) and (c), etc., is sampled at each constant distance in the interval between both the antennas which varies in order and sent to a device main body to obtain an image. When the coupling part 5 is fully extended, a sensor 6 contacts the rear part of the TA1 and a stopper 12 locks a vehicle 10 to stop the transmission; and wheels 9 are driven 8 to put the TA1 closer to the RA2 and when their contact is detected 7, the TR1 stops. This series of operations is repeated thereafter to make a survey.</p> |
