<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate necessity for being conscious of the size of a display screen or the size of a data to be sent by copying one part of the picture data to the other screen after cutting it, and editing the data in the destination of the copy. CONSTITUTION:When the character string data is transmitted from a host computer 1 to a terminal 2, the character string data 4 transmitted from the host is displayed on a terminal display screen 3. When an operator designates a character string data 5 of a desired range to be edited in this data 4, a picture 6 is prepared for displaying only the data 5. On the screen 6, the data of 100 lines is inputted at a maximum and when the edition is completed, only the head part of the picture 6 is copied to the range 5 designated by the operator. Then, the remained data is saved to a buffer provided in the picture 6.</p> |
