PURPOSE:To improve dispersibility while maintaining excellent corrosion resistance by executing formation of the following layer under the specific condition in the manufacturing method for changing goethite, etc., forming the compound layer of silicone, etc., into magnetite and forming non-ferrous transition metal layer and further the above compound layer. CONSTITUTION:After changing the acicular goethite forming silicone and/or Al compound layer or the acicular goethite denaturated with metal other than iron into the magnetite, the non-ferrous transition metal compound layer is formed and further, the silicon or Al compound layer is formed. After that, this is reduced and the metal magnetic powder containing iron as the essential component having the layer, which contains non-ferrous transition metal element on the surface, is obtd. Then, either or both of the formation of silicon and/or Al compound layer onto the acicular goethite and the formation of non-ferrous transition metal compound layer onto the magnetite are executed while execut ing dispersion (>=1X10<4>Kw/m<3> stirring motive power per unit liquid quantity of slurry differing from simple mixing and stirring) by a dispersing machine. |
