PURPOSE:To enable self-heating by electric conduction by constituting a nozzle for casting a metal strip of a nozzle tip using an electric conductive ceramic. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle tip in the nozzle for injecting the molten metal used at the time of forming the crystallized metal strip having 30 - 200mum thickness by continuously injection-flowing down the molten metal on a shifted cooling body surface, is manufactured by using the electric conductive ceramic. By this method, as the nozzle itself is heated, preheating time and electric power consumption can be reduced. As temp. drop of supplied molten metal is little and the viscosity thereof is not dropped, supply of the molten metal on the shifted cooling body is smoothly executed and the strip body having uniform thickness over the whole width can be obtd. |
