PURPOSE:To obtain a processed picture with a little noise and blur in a high frequency area by calculating a weighted mean value between picture information with an output value showing a central value, among the respective pieces of picture information in a window, and the picture information of a source picture memory. CONSTITUTION:The information by one picture outputted from a magnetic disk device 100 is stored in a source picture memory 120, and a window processor 110 designates the picture information of picture elements as processing objects and of respective picture elements in a rectangular window 5 and reads out the picture information. The read picture information is tentatively stored in a buffer memory 132 of a central processing unit 130 and outputted to a central value computing element 131, and the respective output values are rearranged in a certain order from the large value. Then, only picture element information MD corresponding to the central value is outputted. The information MD is inputted to the multiplier 152 of a weight coefficient alpha in a weighted mean value computing element 150 and on the other hand, the picture element information of the processing object picture element is inputted from the memory 120 to a multiplier 154 of a weight coefficient 1-alpha. The outputs of the multipliers 152 and 154 are inputted to an adder 153, and the picture element information corresponding to the output is stored in a processed picture memory 160. |
