PURPOSE:To obtain a composition having excellent water repellency and emulsion stability and suitable as a waterproofing agent for plaster product by blending wax having specific melting point with a hydrocarbon resin and alkali metal salt of beta-naphthalene sulfonic acid formalin condensate at a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:The aimed composition obtained by blending (A) wax (e.g. hydrocarbon wax and/or oxygen-containing wax) having 50-90 deg.C melting point with (B) a hydrocarbon resin (e.g. petroleum resin), (C) alkali metal salt of beta-naphthalene sulfonic acid formalin condensate and (B) alkali metal salt of polyacrylic acid at a wt. ratio of (A+B):(C+D) of 1:0.1-0.2, A:B of 1:0.1-2 and C:D of 1:0.1-1 and further as necessary blending the blend with (E) water soluble alkali compound (e.g. lithium hydroxide) at a wt. ratio of (A+B+C+D):E of 1:0.01-0.1. |
