PURPOSE:To produce an Al foil for electrolytic capacitor cathode capable of forming a cathode having high electrostatic capacity by specifying the composition of an Al ingot, omitting a homogenizing treatment stage and a process annealing stage, and carrying out hot rolling at specific temp. at the the of producing an Al foil from an Al ingot. CONSTITUTION:An Al foil is produced by using, as an Al ingot, the one having a composition containing 0.010-0.07% Fe, 0.010-0.100% Si, and >=99.7% Al, omitting a homogenizing treatment stage and a process annealing stage, and subjecting this Al ingot to hot rolling at <=250 deg.C and then to cold rolling. By subjecting this Al foil to etching treatment, the foil for electrolytic capacitor cathode having high electrostatic capacity can be obtained. |
