The front wheel of a motor vehicle is mounted on a bracket (2) so that the wheel can swing about an axis inclined at a small angle to the vertical. The bracket is attached to an auxiliary frame (1) by two similar composite bushes of rubber and metal (3,4). One bush (4) has its axis vertically aligned and is first inserted into a socket at the end of one arm of the bracket. The arm is then inserted between two C-shaped or semicircular washers fitted in the auxiliary frame. The bracket is then swung about the axis of the first bush to bring the other bush (3) into line with its fixing point. The rotation of the bracket locks the first bush between the washers fitted to the auxiliary frame.
