A peeling machine (1) includes individual device groups (2, 5, 63, 7) which can be centered and clamped at guide rails (23, 24). The guide rails also furnish a particular sliding possibility for a selective moving apart of individual device groups (2, 5, 63). This allows for maintenance, inspection, and repair of the device groups, which are made accessible by moving the individual device groups apart without any heavy equipment.
