PURPOSE: To increase the production capacity of an extruder effectively by disposing an extrusion die assembly apart from the discharging end of an extruder. CONSTITUTION: Hot flowable dough carried from an extruder 45 to a die assembly 10 is introduced into inlet passages 17, 18 of a center plate 11 thence into a central channel 16 which transfers the dough to the opposite side faces 12, 14 of the center plate thence into die units 20, 21. The dough is introduced to the distribution chamber 28 of both die units where the dough is distributed uniformly by a conical forward end 29 thereof and transferred through a distribution channel 30, an axial duct 32 and a passage 35 before being extruded through a die orifice 36 around the outer surface 37. Several die assemblies 10 may be arranged from the extruder 45 through a feed manifold, as required. |
