The slip control system reduces the engine torgue from the value selected by the driver. This reduction or control only takes place when the position of the throttle flap or the accelerator pedal exceeds a given relative small value. This value depends on the engine's speed or on vehicle speed, e.g. the speed of the undriven wheels. Alternatively, the value is calculated from engineand vehicle data stored electrically and involving a condition for acceleration-free travel.
