PURPOSE:To reduce the need of recopying by providing a 1st storage means capable of rewriting the control data of a driving means and a 2nd storage means storing data selected in accordance with the state of a recording medium and controlling the quantity of charge supplied to the recording medium based on the data stored in the 2nd storage means. CONSTITUTION:A process control circuit 70 is provided with a storage device RAM 74 storing data with which the acting state in the case of initialization by turning on a main power source is regulated and a storage device RAM (SRAM) 75 storing electrostatic charging output rank data Dn based on time data. The rank data Dn is rewritten to the data regulated based on the time data accessed from the ROM 73 even while a copying action is dormant or interrupted. On the other hand, in the case that the main power source is turned off and turned on again thereafter, the data storing in the RAM 74 is reset to be in an initial state. Therefore, the data with which the output is controlled is changed independently of the initializing action regulated by turning on/off of the main power source. Thus, the need of recopying is reduced and copying cost is made low. |
