In order to prevent both the contact spring jaws and the reinforcing spring from being opened too wide the two components are interlocked. The slit in the reinforcing spring is located at 90 deg. to the slits in the contact springs. At one end of the reinforcing spring slit small lugs are formed which are bent inwards. These engage in a corresp. opening in the barrel section carrying the contact spring jaws. The reinforcing spring is thus restrained against opening forces exerted through the spring jaws.
