摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance cooling capacity and to maintain constant the temperature of supply air by disposing a heat exchanger, which employs refrigerant gas discharged from supercouducting winding as a cold source, in the air supply path for a current collector and introducing cooled outer air into the current collector. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger 21, which employes refrigerant gas discharged from a superconducting field winding as a cold source, is disposed in the air supply path for a current collector. Temperature sensors 25a, 25b and a valve 19 for regulating helium gas flow are also disposed in the air supply path for the current collector, while furthermore a control mechanism for determining the opening of the refrigerant gas flow regulation valve 19 based on an ambient temperature of the current collector detected through the temperature sensors 25a, 25b is provided. Since the temperature of the discharged refrigerant gas is sufficiently lower than the outer air temperature, temperature at the inlet of the current collector is lower than the outer air temperature thus enhancing the cooling capacity. Furthermore, temperature at the inlet of the current collector is maintained at a constant level by means of the refrigerant gas flow control mechanism.
