The invention provides cyclodextrin complexes of bis-biguanido hexane compounds such as chlorhexidine and its salts which act to increase the water solubility of the chlorhexidine or its salts, mask their bitter after taste and increase their bio-availability. The invention also provides aqueous-based anti-bacterial oral preparations containing such complexes which may also contain colorants, flavorants, sweeteners, fluorides and polishing agents. |
