摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain high image density and to improve sensitivity by a method wherein a ratio in speed of a recording sheet to an image receiving sheet or a ratio in a feed quantity of the recording sheet to the image receiving sheet is specified, both are made to travel to perform thermal printing from the recording sheet side, and dye in an ink layer in the part is transferred onto the image receiving sheet by sublimation. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer recording sheet 1 composed by forming a sublimate ink layer 3 on a substrate 2 is superimposed on an image receiving sheet 6 composed by forming a receptive layer 5 on a substrate 4, and thermal energy is given thereto with a thermal head 7. Transfer or dispersion of dye occurs in the ink layer 3 and the image receiving later 5, and a dyeing image is formed on the receptive layer. Where the speed or feed quantity of the recording sheet is V1, and the speed or feed quantity of the image receiving sheet is VR, thermal transfer recording is performed assuming V1/VR >1. That is, in the case where, for instance, recording conditions (recording voltage and a pulse width) are the same, when V1 is also made the same and VR is made less than traditional condition, a more quantity of dye can be dyed to the receptive layer, and a high density image can be obtained.
