PURPOSE:To improve functionality and reliability by constituting the parts of an image carrying means, an image forming means and a transfer means of a member which can be replaced in an image forming device main body and providing a storage means and a mode selection means on the member. CONSTITUTION:At least the parts of the image carrying means, the image forming means and the transfer means are constituted of the member which can be replaced, and the storage means is provided on the member which can be replaced. Then, the mode selection means is set, which can select an optional image mode out of plural image modes such as a gradation estimable image mode, a photographic image estimable mode and a line estimable image mode. Based on a mode signal from the mode selection means, an image forming condition fit for the mode is stored in the storage means and a control condition for an image forming process is set according to the stored condition. Therefore, information is transferred between a replaced unit (parts) and the image forming device main body and the desired image mode is selected from the image forming device main body side. Thus, the functionality and the reliability as the image forming device are improved. |
