Press installation for the continuous pressing of lengths of pressing material in the course of the manufacture of chipboards, fibreboards, laminated boards and similar boards. In the press lower section is arranged a fixed, heated lower press plate, and in the press upper section is arranged a heated upper press plate, which can be adjusted and deformed under the action of pressing cylinder/piston arrangements and return cylinder/piston arrangements for the purpose of setting the pressing characteristic. The press belts are supported, with the interposition of roller bodies, on the press plates, and form a pressing gap which can be set in accordance with the pressing characteristic. The lower press plate is supported directly on the press frame, with the interposition of an insulation. The upper press plate, with interposition of an insulation, is directly subjected to the action of the pressing cylinder/piston arrangements and connected to the return cylinder/piston arrangements. The lower press plate additionally performs the function of the press table, and the upper press plate additionally performs the function of the press spar. The press plates have, on the side remote from the pressing gap, a counter-heating device for compensating for unwanted heat deformations. …<IMAGE>… |
