摘要	The device bracketed (4) to the web of a rail in e.g. a marshalling yard has a rectangular parallelpipedal housing (3) secured by tongues (5) to which an electric conductor (9) is fastened mechanically to form a loop around the fixing holes (10). The conductor (9) is connected in the link (11) between an oscillator (8) and a remote processing circuit, which link becomes broken if either tongue (5) is torn from the housing (3). Another embodiment has the conductor in printed form. ADVANTAGE - Mechanical damage to detector automatically renders it inoperative and is immediately recognisable by monitoring station.
