NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE FOR LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY

PURPOSE:To improve charge-discharge cycle property to realize a long-life lithium secondary battery by including iron salt or galium salt into a nonaqueous electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of metal salts between iron salt and galium salt is included in a nonaqueous electrolyte at the concentration of 100ppm or less. With the arrangement, the included metal is precipitated to remove an abnormally high part in the active degree and an even electrodeposition is proceeded. Furthermore, an extremely thin alloy phase of lithium and the added metal, thereby restraining the reaction between lithium and the nonaqueous electrolyte to prevent deterioration in the nonaqueous electrolyte and a negative electrode. It is thus possible to improve charge-discharge cycle property to extend the service life of a battery.
