A stand suitable for supporting a musical instrument keyboard includes a pair of elongate legs 1, 2, joined at a pivotal joint roughly midway along their length. Each of the logs has transversely extending feet 4, 5 at one end and transversely extending support members 7, 8 at the other end. In use, a keyboard, or a platform for a keyboard, rests on the support members. The pivotal joint is designed so that when it is free one leg can move pivotally with respect to the other through substantially 180 DEG . When the pivotal joint is engaged it holds the leg members fixed with respect to each other at any desired angular position. In a preferred example, the stand further comprises a platform 20 which rests on the support members with the depending outer edges of the platform engaging the outer edges of the support members. The platform also then serves to provide further bracing for the stand. A retractable spur 9 may be provided on each foot to adjust, in use, the keyboard angle. <IMAGE> |
