A surgical apparatus incorporates an assembly jig 2, an intramedullary splint 3 which can be removably secured to and projects from a support 4 carried by the assembly jig 2 and a template 5 carried by the assembly jig 2, together with precision coupling means of the male and female type between the splint 3 and the base of the support 4.
