PURPOSE:To always obtain stable image quality by mounting a blowing or exhaust fan to a thermal head and providing a temp. detection means and inputting the signal from the temp. detection means to control the number of rotations of the fan. CONSTITUTION:The sublimable dye applied to an ink sheet A is heated by supplying a current to a thermal head 1 wherein heating resistors are arranged on an aluminum substrate in a line form according to received image data to generate sublimation reaction and the image corresponding to the image data is reproduced on image receiving paper B. At this time, a current is sup plied to the thermal head 1 so that the temp. of the head is always monitored by a heat control circuit 10 before and after printing and during printing and the optimum supply quantity is selected at every 2 deg.C in the temp. of the head corresponding to the temp. of the head 1 by a gamma-table (gradation-current supply pulse width table) to perform printing and, by selecting the optimum driving voltage to a cooling fan 8 by a driving voltage table, the amount of air is controlled and printing is always performed in a definite temp. rise. |
